Eston & Franz June

Here we have a small video from twenty three reels of fantastic family footage of the Eston and Franz June family of Hudson N.Y. Twelve of these films come from Eston, the Father of Franz with eleven from Franz himself.
Filmed between 1955 and the early 1960's there is around fifty minutes in total of superb quality family events such as the courtship and marriage of Franz and his first wife, along with some footage of their honeymoon.
The wedding / baby shower plus the children's, especially Melissa's first Christmas, along with Birthday parties. Plus numerous family get togethers and holidays. On the lake fishing, a hunting trip, rebuilding / building the house. Playing with the dachsund dog and many road trips
Eston, a tool manufacturer was born in New York in 1911. His Marriage to Frances produced son Franz who was born Dec. 15, 1934, in Hudson, New York.
Franz began his working life as a draftsman in an apprenticeship program for General Electric in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. In the late 1960s, after working for Martin Marietta (now Lockheed Martin) in Florida, June and his family relocated to Lake Jackson, Texas, where he worked for Dow Chemical.
Through contacts he made at Dow, June and his business partners started Gulf States Inc., an industrial electrical contracting, construction and maintenance company in Freeport, Texas.
Franz, a former president of the Association of Building Contractors (now the role of the ABC chair of the board of directors), died on Friday, March 18, 2022.
He is survived by three daughters, Melissa, Rebecca and Mary, along with sons-in-law Michael and Jeff, as well as his grandchildren, David, Emily and Celia.
There is around fifty minutes of footage on these reels. The short clips that I have edited together show the quality of the footage available.
The whole twenty three reels, converted to digital format for playback on either YouTube or DVD or memory stick, with the original reels posted to the USA are available to purchase
